Pope Francis has announced a year of Jubilee of Hope for all the Church in the year 2025 and is calling us to “Be Pilgrims of Hope to build the Italy of tomorrow”.
He is also inviting us young people to Rome to join him for a celebration of young people. This will take place between the 28th of July and the 4th of August 2025.
As Augustinian Youths in Malta, we will also be going on pilgrimage to Rome to celebrate with other young people from all around the world to celebrate a mini ‘world youth day’ style event together.
The cost for this pilgrimage will be between €750 and €800, which includes flights, accommodation in schools/gyms, food, public transport and entrance to the jubilee events, and travel insurance.
The pilgrimage will be similar to normal world youth days, where we will be walking (a lot!), our sleeping quarters will be gyms and schools, and we will be sleeping outside at Tor Vergata for the vigil night with Pope Francis.
