On Wednesday 8 January Cardinal Grech’s corpse arrived in Malta. The funeral cortege started at 4.30 to Birgu where he was born and baptised. This was followed by prayers in the Collegiate Church of St. Lawrence. At 6 p.m. the cortege left Birgu and made its way to the Augustinian St Mark convent, Rabat. In the afternoon of Monday 30 December 2019 His Eminence Cardinal Prospero Grech, an Augustinian, was called to eternal rest to join our Father in heaven. Cardinal Grech had just attained the venerable age of 94 years on Christmas eve. That same day he con-celebrated midnight Mass presided by His Holiness Pope Francis at St. Peters’ Basilica. On Saturday 28th December, students from Tagaste Vok Club spent some time together beginning with a moment of prayer, a film and a Christmas Party. Since it was a nice day, they played some football as well! It was a nice moment for all those who participated.

On Friday 27th December the Augustinian Friars gathered for their annual Christmas Lunch. This year the Augustinian Community of Tarxien welcomed and offered the lunch for all the province. It was a beautiful experience sharing some time together!
