Youth Ministry

If you had to do it again, would you? This was a question that several people asked me many times since I arrived. My answer will be immediately; “YES!”. I had been listening about this walk or rather this pilgrimage for a few years now. I knew many who done it from various youth groups and I was always tempted, but to be honest it seemed something relatively strange to me;

During the month of May several young people, in twos on the example of the disciples of Emmaus,  had the opportunity to live a week with the Augustinian community in Tal Pietà. During this week the young people continued with their work and study while they were able to taste a little of the Augustinian life through moments of prayer, food and other moments. What does the Augustinian Youths group mean to you? As members of the Augustinian Youths group we work together to create an active space as a young community within the Church. This group stands out for me because through meetings, activities, moments of prayer and voluntary work we have the opportunity to share various perspectives and experiences all together. This helps me to give some of my time to others

The preparations for next summer’s experiences have already started, and we are offering these experiences for young people between 18 and 35 years old. The Secretariat for Augustinian Missions (AMIGOS) is offering a 3-week missionary experience in Kenya. The Augustinian Youths are offering a different experience in the form of a long walk of more than 100Km to the Cathedral of Santiago in Spain as a community.   Anyone who
