What does being an Augustinian mean to you?

The idea that 48 years ago the Lord called me to him without knowing what he is and that over the years I feel that he has always formed me in order to embrace and live better and more.

The Augustinian Charism in today’s world

It’s hard to define such a concept unless you want to end up talking about something that fits inside a museum and is well wrapped in a crystal bulb! It needs to be reflected and examined from time to time in the light of the calls to witness in the Universal Church, in service of the local needs in which this charism is lived, and in the light of what the Order, as well as the Province, aims for.

Who is the Augustinian for you?

Rather than being aware of a particular and exclusive identity, I believe that the Augustinian today should be a man of God, always ready to explore possibilities of how he can share with others what he feels and understands he can give, move and change around him within every form of community (not just the convent!) in which he is working. In this witness and work, he remembers that there is an unbelievable risk, and rightly so, that he too may come constantly annoyed, and asked to give the reason for his life at all times.
