Who was His Eminence Card. Prospero Grech OSA?
Fr. Prospero was born at Birgu, Malta on 24 December 1925, son of Vincent and Amelia nee’ Gatt and was named Stanley. His primary education was at the Mater Boni Consili school, Rahal il-Gdid and St. Catherine’s, Sliema. He continued his secondary education at the Lyceum. In the afternoon of Monday 30 December 2019 His Eminence Cardinal Prospero Grech, an Augustinian, was called to eternal rest to join our Father in heaven. Cardinal Grech had just attained the venerable age of 94 years on Christmas eve. That same day he con-celebrated midnight Mass presided by His Holiness Pope Francis at St. Peters’ Basilica. Dress Down Day for the Millennium Chapel
Both the Primary and Secondary members of the learning community of St Augustine College, have organised a special event for Advent initiative through the Chaplaincy Teams.
