Ash Wednesday activity organised by the Chaplaincy team and supported by the educators of the Secondary Campus. Students participated in a number Prayer Spaces where students were invited to reflect on aspects of their personal life and other issues in different ways through writing, reflection, and drawing. Students also participated in penitential service, where they also had the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. On a rotation basis, students reflected on trust and teamwork through Sports Ministry, while they also watched a film with a positive message about emotions and inclusion. Thanks to the Richmond Foundation, students also had the opportunity to reflect on Mental Health issues.
During break, they also partook in food similar to the typical food in Mozambique which included falafel and rice. This was done by our Learning Support team to raise funds for the Amigos Missionary work in Mozambique. Lent is a time to renew ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually, while working on ourselves and looking at ways to help others.
