Augustinian Family Celebration

The Augustinian Family Celebration Day was held on 28 June in the Primary School at St Augustine College Marsa. Following a 6pm mass celebrated by Provincial Fr Raymond Francalanca, the Provincial shared some reflections on the present and future Augustinian contribution. The Celebration Day was followed by a Pizza Night.

A & P Friendship Day

As part of the VOK Club activities of Summer 2017, an A&P Friendship Day was held on Wednesday 28 June. Those who participated live an experience of friendship on the footsteps of St Augustine’s friends – Alypus and Possidus. The day, based on the Augustinian value of friendship included various formation activities, moment of prayers, games and recreational time.

Days of silence and reflections

Between the 19 and 23 June a group of Augustinian Friars meet at Stella Maris Home in Zebbug Gozo for days of silence and retreat accompanied by Fr Marcello Ghirlando OFM. These were days, where in a community atmosphere, the friars could reflect more on their religious call in relation to God, while continuing their internal renewal for their mission.

  From Monday 19 to Friday 23 June Fr David Cortis osa and Fr Salvinu Caruana osa participated in a Conference Intercultural Experience of Pastoral Ministry in a changing Europe – New Forms of Evangelization in the Augustinian Order, held in San Gimignano (FI) Italy. It was a nice experience and there were 9 speakers including Fr David who did a reflection and presented a paper on The Augustinian Pastoral Hospitality and Integration

The Prior General of the Augustinian Order in Malta

During this year, when the Maltese Augustinian Friars are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the Maltese Province, the Prior General of the Augustinian Order, Padre Alejandro Moral Antón OSA will be making his Canonical Visit in the Maltese Province from 16 to 24 May. This will be his first official visit to the Maltese Province during which he will be visiting the various communities and other realities
