As part of the Pastoral Visit he is making in the Diocese of Gozo, on Tuesday 22 October H.E. Mons Anton Teuma visited the Augustinian Community who lives and serves in Victoria. Also present at the meeting was the Prior Provincial P. Leslie Gatt O.S.A.. In the meeting, Mons Teuma conveyed his appreciation for the presence of the religious communities in the Church in Gozo as well as for the service that the Augustinian religious give to the local Church. Apart from the sacramental service in the Conventual Church of Saint Augustine and other places, the Augustinian religious give a regular pastoral service in the Sir Mikelangelo Refalo Sixth Form in Victoria, and in Saint Joseph Home for the Elderly in Għajnsielem. The meeting continued with an interesting discussion that touched on various aspects of the local Church and the challenges it is living in today’s society.
